Gato de Frida Kahlo

I created this lovely critter for inclusion in the Day of the Dead show in Romeo, Michigan at the  Starkweather Arts Center. She is one of a kind, larger than I usually make, black chenille yarn crocheted cat with bone colored chenille yarn chains hand sewn to surface in skeletal shapes. Vintage silk flower head adornment and new bead necklace. If you live near Romeo, the show opens October 7. Let me know if you go.

Entry filed under: art, cat, crafts, critters, crochet, Day of the Dead, Frida Kahlo, plush, softies.
