PlushYou! Olympic Challenge

Back in January, Kristen of PlushYou! announced a Plush Olympic Challenge on her blog. I was assigned to the skiing category. I decided to make the cat that stole Lindsey Vonn’s ski and fled away downhill.

First, I had to make the cat on the ski. I drew the cat and the ski on two separate pieces of fabric, sewed and stuffed them separately and then sewed them together along with two loops on the back to allow the piece to be hung.

Next, I drew a background in Photoshop to make it look like the cat was going downhill on the snow. Finally, I created a newspaper front page to surround the picture of the cat going downhill, just for fun.

Clicking on the pictures will bring up an enlarged view. Clicking here will take you to Etsy to see more of the cat on the ski. Enjoy.
