Swap Thing

We over at the needle had a plush swap a couple of weeks ago. Those of us interested in exchanging our creations signed up and Caffaknitted assigned each of us to each other and off we went to create a plush that represented where we live.

I made one of my stuffed drawings using some very proper floral polished cotton. I drew a longhorn steer, one of Texas’ symbols. I like the juxtaposition of the huge animal and the sweet flowery fabric. I also created a “landing pad” for my steer, a collage of Texas city maps.

I haven’t heard from my swap partner. Hopefully the steer made it to California. I hope he’s not lost in the postal system.

I am the lucky recipient of the cutest critter I’ve ever seen, a little loon. The lovely and talented Beeper Bébé created this marvelous loon. Click on his picture for more pictures and her descriptions. I love him!
