I crocheted a striped cat for my sister’s birthday and she’s boxed up and on the way to Cleveland, Ohio. I hope she doesn’t get cold. This is the first time I’ve used this yarn or ordered from Elann. Both were great, the yarn is very cool and the prices and ordering experience were both fabulous. I used two strands together to crochet the whole cat. I used four different colors of Elann’s brand of Sonata yarn, a slightly shimmery mercerized cotton. I used the Burnished Apricot through out most of the cat, along with alternating between the Desert Peach and Grand Canyon for the stripes and Natural for the paws. By┬áblending the Apricot along with the other two colors, it gives a softer overall look.

I really like the way this kitty turned out. I hope my sister likes it.
