Frank’s Video

Well, we survived our birthdays uneventfully. Mike had a gig Sunday night but I passed since I had to work yesterday (and today, tomorrow…). But we aren’t really big holiday/birthday celebrators. As Mike likes to say, “everyday’s a holiday with you dear”.

And the herons have paired up with one pair remaining in my sight, they’ve been busily building their nest till yesterday evening when the skies opened and it rained and rained. I could see the two of them sitting there on their branch next to the nest, just getting wet. I guess they’re used to it.

Still haven’t had time to photograph the blocked grannies. Something always seems to come up. Soon.

But in the meantime, allow me to introduce Mike’s longtime friend Frank Campagna, artist extraordinaire. He’s a painter, makes his living that way. He also runs an art gallery, Kettle Art. Sadly, one gig which is coming to an end for him is the painting of billboards on the Gypsy Tea Room building announcing upcoming bands. He’s painted hundreds of famous and not so famous musicians. And being the clever and talented guy that he is, he has made videos of the images he’s painted and posted them to YouTube. The soundtrack to two of the videos are by Mike’s past and current band. Enjoy.
