Last Market of the Year
I’ll be there with all my critter creations. Hope to see you there too.
Candy Stripes
Almost a year ago, (has it really been that long?) The Plush Team, had a show of our work at the Hot Pop Gallery in Milwaukee, WI. The show was candy themed and I made a Peppermint Pup and a Candy Cane Cat. I was going to keep them in my collection but I got in the holiday mood and put them in my Etsy shop in hopes that they make someone happy on Christmas morning. Click on the picture and you’ll be taken there to see more pictures and have the opportunity to be the one that brings home the striped smiles this holiday.
Ho. Ho. Ho.
Last night was the start of the Christmas lights season in downtown Dallas. City Lights 2011. It was 84°. The all electronic tree was lit. Santa arrived by zip-lining into a park from atop a very tall building. That’s how we do it in Dallas. Big and different.

Friday Night
Come down to the Dallas Arts District Friday night for a fun filled evening of food trucks, live music, museums open late and local art. I’ll have all my critter creations with me so you can get an early start on that holiday shopping. Hope to see your smiling faces there.
Dia de los Muertos Show Photos
Heather Hansma, the fabulous artist and curator of the Dia de los Muertos show at the Starkweather Arts Center has been posting photos from the show to her Flickr account. I’ve only posted the couple images where you could see my Gato de Frida Kahlo. There are lots of great photos of fantastic works over at Heather’s Flickrstream and on her blog. Do yourself a favor and go check it out. If you click on the pictures here, you will be taken to her Flickrstream to see the larger size and the rest of her photos. Enjoy.

Dia de los Muertos
My Gato de Frida Kahlo is part of this show that opens Friday at the Starkweather Arts Center in Romeo, Michigan. The exhibition will be on display through November 5. I unfortunately will not be able to view the show in person and hope to see lots of photos. If any of you dear readers are in the vicinity, do drop by and snap some pics, won’t you?
Witchy Hands
I just got the new Lion Brand Yarn newsletter and immediately wished I knew how to knit. I love these gloves. They would be so fun to wear all winter, just for the heck of it. Click on the picture to be taken to the free pattern, but if you haven’t signed up before on Lion Brand Yarn‘s website, you’ll have to sign up now to get the pattern. Enjoy.
