    HI Pat,
I have never knitted in my life, I’m strictly a crochet girl. Why don’t you post your question to http://geckogrrl.wordpress.com/ . She’s a knitter and just might have your answer.

I’m trying to make 123 Warm Waves on page 79, but can’t figure out what is meant by: DC 2 together over chains 3 and 4–how are these stitches connected? I haven’t been able to get past the first row of this design and am all ready to go! Please help me!

Looking at the pattern, you are to crochet a double crochet decrease stitch, that gives the curves with the addition of the multiple double crochets in one chain. Here’s a couple of links that show how to do that decrease stitch. Hope they help.

Number 156 Cluster Ripple Afghan: On the second row, the pattern calls for double crochet 5 together. How do I do that?

    Many thanks!

You’ll have to post a photo of your project when completed. Glad I could help.
